Christoph Tausch is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer; he trained in Austria and worked in Linz for many years, before moving to Zurich in 2008 where he heads the private Breast-Center Zurich since 2017. He ha published more than 100 peer reviewed papers, participated in numerous multicenter studies, and currently leads the international, multicenter VISION-Trial, which investigates whether vacuum-assisted biopsy with AI-support can predict a pathological complete response in patients showing an excellent response to neoadjuvant systemic therapy. In addition to oncoplastic surgery – including the use of perforator flaps – his areas of expertise include skin- and nipple sparing mastectomies, which he has recently begun performing with endoscopic assistance using a single port.
